Since the beginning of sport, people capable of lift big amount of weight have been admired. This practice was evolving and improving with the past of the time and became a high performance sport: weightlifting. This evolution carried also the creation of rules and a whole system for the athletes.

Becoming into a world champion is not an easy path. They follow serious routines and advices. Here you have some tips all weightlifter have in consideration:

CUSTOMISED TRAINNING

Each athlete is different to the others, so you have to develop special routines for each weightlifter focused on their own lacks. In addition, it is really important to consider in which phase is the athlete body and how close are the championships.

TO HAVE MENTAL HEALTH

Before big competitions, after a whole season training, it is normal that nerves and insecurities can show up. To fight them you need to be focused. Here, trainers play an important role, they need to know how to help their trainees to keep calm and security on themselves.

During the competition the athlete and his coach follow different strategies depending what the other competitors are doing.

FULL CONFIDENCE BETWEEN COACH AND ATHLETE

Mutual understanding between the weightlifter and the personal trainer is compulsory. A good trainer is not just the one who create nice routines and a good competition calendar, it is also the one who is able to support his pupil and knows what can he do depending on his mental and physical state.

KNOWING YOUR OPPONENTS

New technologies allow us know automatically what are doing the other contestants. During the competition the athlete and his coach follow different strategies depending what the other competitors are doing.

KNOWING BY HEART THE REGULATIONS

It is essential that weightlifters know the regulations. Trainning and mental preparation is indispensable, but it would be a pity ruin a whole season of working because you are wearing and illegal clothes or doing an unlawful movement.
